1. Scope of these terms
These terms cover this laboratory-pilot website, its service descriptions, public program diagrams and local pilot-brief preparation tool for the James Scott Institute for Adversarial Frontier Physics. They do not replace the terms of the official accelerator application, the James Scott Institute’s research programs, or a separately agreed service order.
Use the site for lawful research, learning, and preparing an authorized request. Do not use it to interfere with the website, bypass access controls, misrepresent your organization, or obtain records you are not permitted to access.
2. Program descriptions and participation
The 90-day program, cohort capacity, service allocations, and capability descriptions describe the proposed pilot program. Preparing a brief, following a link, or submitting an application does not establish admission, a grant award, a funding commitment, a service contract, or access to facilities or research systems.
Eligibility, available capabilities, timing, financial support, and any free or subsidized services must be confirmed in writing for the selected engagement. No fee or payment obligation is created by using this website.
3. Written engagement scope
Before work begins, the laboratory and the relevant institute representative must agree the research question, authorized evidence, service selection, actual tools and resources, deliverables, agreed delivery requirements, responsibilities, and release boundaries. The signed engagement documents govern that work and take precedence over general website descriptions for the engagement.
Changes to scope, access, deliverables, funding, or publication permissions require agreement through the engagement’s designated approval process. Website edits do not amend an existing signed agreement.
4. Research and submission responsibilities
Provide accurate information and confirm that you are authorized to act for the organization you identify. You remain responsible for experimental operations, institutional approvals, safety procedures, permits, and applicable obligations concerning research, data, intellectual property, and controlled information.
Enter only a non-sensitive summary in the brief tool or public intake. Do not enter confidential, classified, export-controlled, embargoed, or personally sensitive materials. Research evidence is shared only through an approved handling route after permissions and scope are agreed.
5. Intellectual property and public statements
Ownership of pre-existing laboratory data, methods, software, and intellectual property is not transferred by visiting this website or preparing a brief. Ownership and permitted use of engagement deliverables must be addressed in the written agreement. Public scientific references remain subject to their owners’ terms and applicable licenses.
You may read the public information and download your locally prepared brief for research evaluation and request preparation. Preserve attribution and any rights notices. Broader reproduction, redistribution, commercial use, or use of institute names and logos requires the applicable rights holder’s permission. Do not imply an institute endorsement, approved finding, or partnership without written authorization.
6. Privacy and external services
The brief tool keeps draft inputs in the current page’s memory and can create a downloadable file on your device. It does not submit the draft to the institute. Hosting and sign-in may produce operational records under the hosting platform’s policies. Read Privacy & accessibility for the site’s handling boundaries.
External websites and public scientific references operate under their own access controls, terms, and privacy policies. Opening the official application does not transfer your draft automatically. Review the receiving service’s current conditions before submitting information.
7. Availability and limitations
Website information is provided for program evaluation and may be corrected or updated. Availability, uninterrupted access, and suitability for a particular research decision are not guaranteed. A service description or illustrative model does not establish that an assessment has run or that a scientific claim has been validated.
Review the Disclaimer and Scientific standard before relying on a description or sharing a claim. Research decisions require the relevant evidence, qualified review, and an authorized disposition.
8. Applicable rights and updates
These website terms do not exclude rights or obligations that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. Any engagement-specific liability, governing law, and dispute-resolution provisions are addressed in the relevant written agreement.
The date above identifies the current website terms. For questions about participation or engagement conditions, use the institute’s official accelerator application and request clarification before sharing research materials or beginning work.
