FRONTIER PHYSICS · LABORATORY PILOTOne consequential question. An independently examinable answer.
Two complementary research roles

An accelerator pathway. A frontier-science institute.

The laboratory pilot connects adversarial scientific review with the James Scott Institute’s research-incubation mission. The laboratory retains experimental authority; evidence, access, review, and release remain governed.

The accelerator

James Scott Institute for Adversarial Frontier Physics

Adversarial Physics is the external capability pathway for laboratories facing a consequential scientific bottleneck. Its work examines claims, measurement limits, models, contradictions, replication, and the decision the evidence permits.

Its public accelerator grant model provides manually selected, scoped scientific reviews. The expanded 90-day laboratory pilot described here is a separate proposed service design.

The research incubator

James Scott Institute for Frontier Sciences

The institute develops evidence-governed infrastructure for research at the boundary of the known. Its physical laboratory-incubator model connects qualified teams with approved research, facility, equipment, and governance pathways.

Its research context emphasizes scientific evidence, testable questions, qualified review, and useful research decisions.

The laboratory pilot

A precise service offer for a defined scientific case.

The pilot offers 30 scientific services. Each accepted engagement includes scientific assurance and up to three specialist services, with clear findings and appropriate supporting information.

The three roles remain distinct.
The accelerator routes and scopes the capability review. The institute provides its governed research-incubation context. The laboratory operates its experiments, controls its native records, and holds the required approvals. Facilities, instruments, deployed tools, capacity, and funding are confirmed before they are used.
Trust through evidence

A useful answer can be “stop.”

An accepted assessment need not be favorable. Protected dissent, failed runs, null results, and limitations stay in the record. Reviewer consensus does not substitute for independent scientific evidence.

LABORATORY CUSTODY

Bounded evidence access

Read-only and partner-approved exposure is established through the case contract. Restricted materials can remain in partner custody with an authorized-reviewer route.

INDEPENDENT CHALLENGE

Disclosed dependencies

The result developer cannot be the sole independent reviewer. Shared code, apparatus, calibration, and assumptions remain explicit.

HUMAN RELEASE

Named responsibility

Technical reviewers and release owners approve bounded wording, distribution, validity limits, expiry, and the evidence that would reopen a decision.

Bring the question that is blocking your next result.

Start with a defined research decision, a responsible investigator, and the evidence you can authorize for review.
